What are the components of a typical evaluation?
|
|
|
|
A typical evaluation starts with an interview with
parents, followed by an interview with the child,
and at least six hours of direct testing. The
testing is scheduled for two-hours each morning,
spread over three consecutive days. The feedback to
parent[s] is scheduled two to four weeks after the
testing is completed, at which time the narrative
report is released. If parents desire to continue
an in-depth conversation on a particular aspect of
the evaluation, or focus more specifically on
recommendations, additional meetings will be
scheduled. When appropriate, Dr. Newman can meet
separately with the child to discuss the results of
the evaluation.
