Assessment

  • Giftedness, Creativity, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Developmental Disorders, Language Problems, Autism and Asperger’s, Child Bipolar Disorder, Depression, and Anxiety.

  • Comprehensive assessment of intellectual development, academic skills, language, visual-motor integration, creativity, social-emotional development, and heightened sensitivities. 

  • Input of teachers in the evaluation.

  • Participation of parents in evaluation.

  • Focus on unique profile of strengths and weaknesses in development.

Therapy

  • Individual and family therapy.

  • Serving children with anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger problems, Asperger’s Syndrome, early onset Bipolar Disorder, underachievement, and low self-esteem.
  • Serving the unique needs of gifted children and their families.
  • Weekly, biweekly, or monthly therapy visits.
  • Active involvement of parents in therapy.

Consultation

  • Parent Consultation is available to parents who are not sure that they need treatment for their child and to home schooling parents who need suggestions or help with curriculum modifications.

  • School Consultation is available only for children who have been assessed or treated by me. School consultation includes going to school and meeting with teachers, designing acceleration or enrichment for gifted children, IEP meetings for exceptional children and for so called twice exceptional children, who are gifted but have learning, behavioral, or emotional problems.

  • Brief E-mail and Phone Consultation designed to discuss general problems and progress of my clients is offered as a courtesy only to my clients.

  Education
  • Lectures for parents.
  • Lectures, workshops, and in-service training for teachers.
  • Presentations available on variety of topic focusing on needs of gifted children, and emotional, behavioral, and parenting issues.

Educational Advocacy

  • Accompany parents to IEP and SST meetings and advocating for a child.

  • Help parents prepare for IEP meetings to advocate for their child.

  • Guide parents of gifted children through the process of obtaining appropriate gifted services.
  • Guide parents of twice exceptional children to obtain both gifted and special education services.

Fees and Charges

  • Specific fees are explained in detail in the Welcoming Packet which can be accessed on line after you sign for an appointment with me.
  • Fees are set on an hourly basis for assessment, therapy, consultation, report preparation and feedback.
  • Fees range from $125.00 to $150.00 per 50 minute session.
  • I am not an insurance provider, but I will prepare an invoice you can use to apply to your insurance company for out of network provider benefits.
  • Please call your insurance company in advance to learn about benefits, limitations, and the number of sessions allowed under your policy.
